Schamaun, DO, Acupuncture, after ONE SINGLE TREATMENT was shown to be an effective treatment method for patients with dry eye and may be a useful adjunct to conventional dry eye therapy. Of the patients in this study, 88% showed improvement in OSDI results. The difference between the average pretreatment and posttreatment OSDI scores was 18.3, a 35% improvement. Patients younger than 50 years had a greater degree of improvement, with an average decrease from pretreatment to posttreatment OSDI of 33.2, a 57% improvement. The acupuncture treatment used in this study was a standardized protocol using a French Energetics Liver cerebral circulation circuit. Acupuncture points used were LR 3, LR 8, LR 14, GB 41, ST 1, GB 1, and BL 2 in all cases.

Capt.Koffman is now using Acupuncture at a new facility at National Naval Medical Center campus in Bethesda. The National Intrepid Center of Excellence, began using Acupuncture in October, and uses a new approach to treating psychologic and stress disorders, such as post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injuries. “No one goes to war without being changed,” Koffman said. “War traumatizes everyone in different ways.” ACUPUNCTURE IN HOSPITALS.
The Minneapolis Abbott Northwestern hospital has been offering Acupuncture to patients since 2003 in addition to surgery. These are points that are proven to help relieve stress and trauma. The Salvation Army really embraced us."The Salvation Army says the acupuncture service will be provided from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for as long as the tent is there ACUPUNCTURE STOPS SHOULDER PAIN.
